my new lamp shades

I got tired of the non-descript, matchy lamp shades in my living room and replaced the cone-shaped blah colored shade with a drum-shaped version. I picked it up at Goodwill a while back. Kind of a low commitment when the shade is $5. The shape and size of the new shade was perfect, but the condition was rough and I made it worse by picking at it. I thought I would line it with fabric and have myself a really unique piece, but the shade was in too crumby of condition and my fabric, which had a vertical print, wouldn't fit all the way around. Time to go to plan b. Finally found my plan b (at Lamps Plus) and I am happy with the results.


Under $40 spent for a much needed improvement.
